Established in 2002, Sara Gadd Millinery offers exclusive ladies headwear design. Sara’s love of millinery developed at The University of Cumbria, where she studied BA (Hons) Contemporary Applied Arts. Having a background in textiles and embroidery, Sara has a strong sense of colour and attention to detail. Whether dying materials or hand crafting beautiful silk flowers, her passion and creativity shine though. Sara is known for her customer service and offers a relaxed, friendly, flexible approach; creations can be seen adorning heads through out the UK and across the globe.
Consultations are available by appointment from ‘The Bothy’ in Corby Hill, 5 miles out of Carlisle. Originally built as a forge; The Bothy is nestled to the rear of Forge Cottage, the building it’s self is full of character and offers a unique, private studio workspace. When you visit, it is advisable to bring your outfit or accessories with you in order to match colours. As we discuss you requirements there are a range of styles available to try and working closely with the designer enables your creation to be individually tailored to your over all look.

All headwear is made-to-order by Sara and it is advisable to leave at least three weeks before your event. Come and see our unique hats with detachable fascinators! Wear your hat all day, and then simply unclip the fascinator to party away the night! These unique creations allow you to make the most of your headwear and there is also a re-trimming service available.
